Evaluating Training Effectiveness in Statistical Methods for Agricultural Researchers in Balochistan

The present investigation was conducted to evaluate participants' perceptions of the training course titled “Statistical Analysis of Experimental Data” held at Baluchistan Agriculture Research and Development Centre (BARDC), Quetta. Attendees included researchers from BARDC (Quetta), Agriculture Research Institute (ARI) Turbat, ARI Jaffarabad, Horticultural Research Institute (HRI) Khuzdar, the Agriculture Extension Department, and the University of Baluchistan. The key focus areas of the training included the application of descriptive statistics to experimental data, planning and design of experiments, concepts of regression and correlation, multivariate analysis of large datasets, and stability analysis for identifying stable genotypes. The study's findings revealed that the majority of participants were highly satisfied with the course content, the trainers’ teaching methods, and the relevance of the course to their professional work. Furthermore, participants reported that group discussions and hands-on practice significantly enhanced their understanding of data analysis using Minitab and Statistix software. However, they suggested extending the duration of the course and offering similar training sessions in the future.
