All that Wheezes is Not Asthma - A Case of Tracheomalacia

Abstract Tracheomalacia is a rare condition characterized by diffuse or segmental weakness of the trachea. It is an underdiagnosed cause of persistent cough and dyspnea, often misdiagnosed and treated as asthma. We are reporting the tale of a case of focal tracheomalacia treated surgically using a multidisciplinary approach with a long and stormy hospital course.
