Development of a Mobile Phenotyping Platform for Non-Contact Temperature Measurement in Lettuce Plants
This study proposes a mobile phenotyping platform for non-contact temperature measurement, designed to capture thermal imaging and RGB images of lettuce plants, as well as to collect their temperature data. A mobile phenotyping platform integrating a thermal imaging camera and an RGB camera was developed. Through camera coordinate transformation techniques, the thermal and RGB images were successfully registered. The study also developed image acquisition software to enable the capture of thermal and RGB images of lettuce plants, which facilitates rapid and accurate temperature measurements. This platform can precisely measure plant temperature without physical contact, providing a new technological approach for monitoring the growth quality of lettuce. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed measurement method exhibits high accuracy and reliability.
