Design of a Wideband Square Shaped Split-Ring Resonator (SRR) for RF Harvesting
Significant research has been conducted in the subject of Radio Frequency (RF) energy harvesting as a result of the growing demand for efficient and sustainable energy harvesting methods. The effectiveness of RF energy harvesting devices has shown significant potential because to metamaterials, which are constructed materials with special electromagnetic properties. This study designed and investigated a metamaterial for microwave applications that uses a Split-Ring Resonator (SRR). By joining three SRR in an octagonal shape, the design's electrical length and coupling influence are enhanced. The SRR influences the determination of effective permeability, permittivity, and refractive index, respectively. The unit cell is 8.3 x 8.3 mm2 and has been printed on FR4 substance. Additionally, this article examines a 3x3 array framework. The unit cell performs in a double-negative band range of 3-6.4 GHz. The actual medium proportion of 7.8 indicates that the proposed SRR design is minimal and efficient. The miniature size, effective aspects, and efficient medium ratio of the proposed metamaterial suggest that it is suitable for practical RF Harvesting applications.
