Refined Analysis Method for Power Quantity Balance with High Proportion of New Energy

With the continuous increase in the installed capacity of new energy such as wind power and photovoltaics, a high proportion of new energy power systems has become a trend for future development. However, wind power, photovoltaics, and hydropower vary greatly with the seasons, and the power system needs to meet the requirements of providing sufficient power supply during peak and off peak periods, as well as indicators such as wind and light curtailment when electricity consumption is low. In order to evaluate whether the newly added new energy electricity in the next year can be consumed, this paper proposes a refined analysis method for power grid electricity balance based on high proportion new energy. Through data-driven and genetic algorithm modeling of thermal power, hydropower, photovoltaic power, etc., the surplus electricity that meets the system load peak and valley is calculated, and based on this, whether the newly installed new energy capacity can be consumed is evaluated. According to the new energy installation plan of a certain province in China from 2024 to 2030, evaluate the on-site consumption capacity of new energy electricity in 2025 and 2030.
