Review of Forest Pest and Disease Monitoring Technologies
The multitude of forest diseases and insect pests pose significant threats to the development of forest resources and forestry in China. To gain a deeper understanding of the existing technologies for detecting forest diseases and insect pests, this paper provides a comprehensive summary of three primary technologies for forest disease and pest monitoring, including non-UAV non-remote sensing, non-UAV remote sensing, and UAV-based remote sensing monitoring technologies. In this work, we propose a detailed review of the state-of-the-art forest pest monitoring technologies, analyze their advantages and disadvantages, and discuss the future research prospects for UAV-based pest monitoring technologies.
