Mapping the Trajectory of 5E Methods of Constructivism in the Enhancement of Learning Outcomes in Mathematics
Learning models elaborate on the learning procedure that helps acquire new abilities and information. Among the learning models that fuel achievement in learning, the 5E constructivist learning model has offered a variety of possibilities, one of them being the enhancement of learning outcomes in Mathematics. It systematically reviews and maps the Effectiveness of the 5E Model of Constructivism to identify the key components that will inform further research. Arksey and O'Malley developed a five-stage theoretical framework which include a comprehensive analysis of studies. The ten studies included in this framework are based on the 5E Instructional Model. A consistent, productive outcome was observed among low achievers of secondary school students, while not so effective among high achievers. It promises to implement the 5E method of Constructivism within a structured curriculum in the educational settings to furnish important discoveries to those in the field of research, teaching and guardians equally.
