Law, Precarious Labour, and Posted Workers: A Sociolegal Study on Posted Work in the EU
This book examines the role of law in organizing and influencing the lived experiences of migrant workers in Europe. As an unusual form of labour migration, the book also engages with broader themes of the role and purpose of labour law in the changing world of work.Addressing these themes through interviews with placement workers, lawyers and employers, the book adopts a sociolegal approach to consider how law constructs the lived experiences of placement workers in Europe.By giving voice to those with first-hand experience, the book proposes solutions that can address the vulnerability of placed work.In general, the book consists of several chapters exploring different aspects of the law: unstable workers and posted workers, respectively.
