Investigation of the physical behavior of Magnesium Sulphate/Sucrose in pharmaceuticals at different temperatures

The physical behavior of MgSO4 as a drug additive in sucrose solution has been investigated. In the procedure, MgSO4 solutions were dissolved in three separate sucrose mixtures at varying temperatures ranging from 25 to 45 °C. Electrical conductivity, density, and viscosity of mixtures were measured, and data were analyzed. Magnesium sulphate additives in medicine have been studied based on the Onsager equation to determine the molar conductance at infinite dilution, it was found that all mixtures behave as weak electrolytes based on the ion/disaccharide interactions. It was also found that the higher the temperature, the higher the electrical conductivity, and the lower the viscosity and density of these mixtures. UV–Vis spectroscopy can compare proposed additives with 10 % w/v MgSO4 injection to observe potential interactions or stability issues.
