Research on motion-oriented target localization methods

Abstract Aiming at the application requirements of UAVs for locating and measuring moving targets, a moving target localization method based on least squares is proposed. The position coordinates of the moving target in different sequences of images are calculated by the positioning method based on the imaging model, and the parameter equations of the moving target are constructed. The initial velocity and location of the target are solved by the least squares method to find the location of the moving target at the desired moment. The test results show that the method can realize the UAV positioning of the moving target, which is availably achievable and reliable, showing a large potential for application.

Abstract

Abstract Aiming at the application requirements of UAVs for locating and measuring moving targets, a moving target localization method based on least squares is proposed. The position coordinates of the moving target in different sequences of images are calculated by the positioning method based on the imaging model, and the parameter equations of the moving target are constructed. The initial velocity and location of the target are solved by the least squares method to find the location of the moving target at the desired moment. The test results show that the method can realize the UAV positioning of the moving target, which is availably achievable and reliable, showing a large potential for application.
