Linguocultural Aspects of Oxymoron in English and russian Language

This article deals with the linguocultural analysis of oxymorons in English and Russian. An oxymoron is a unique stylistic device used to create paradoxes and enhance expressiveness in speech. The relevance of the topic lies in the fact that oxymorons help to better understand the cultural and linguistic features of different peoples. The aim of the study is to compare and analyze the use of oxymorons in English and Russian, taking into account their linguistic and cultural features. The novelty of the research lies in identifying and describing the cultural and linguistic features of the use of oxymorons in both languages. The methods of research include comparative, linguocultural and text analysis. The results show that oxymorons play an important role in creating paradoxes and enhancing expressiveness in both languages, reflecting their cultural features.
