Teachers’ Perspectives towards their Working Environment and Superiors

This study explores teachers' perspectives on their working environment and their superiors, emphasizing factors that influence job satisfaction and performance. Using a quantitative, descriptive research design, data was collected from 93 teachers in Seberang Perai Tengah District, Malaysia, via an online questionnaire. The findings indicate that most teachers are generally satisfied with their work environment, with supportive leadership, open communication, and professional development opportunities playing key roles. However, concerns regarding workload, stress levels, and limited involvement in decision-making persist. While teachers appreciate administrative recognition, there is room for improvement in fostering trust, inclusivity, and workload management. The study underscores the need for educational institutions to enhance leadership practices, reduce excessive workloads, and create a more collaborative and empowering environment to improve teacher well-being and retention.
