Hydrosilylation and hydrogermylation of white phosphorus

White phosphorus (P 4 ) was functionalized using simple hydrogermanes and hydrosilanes, yielding reactive germanyl- and silylphosphanes. This enables the selective, one-pot conversion of P 4 into valuable monophosphorus compounds.
