Eksplorasi Ekstrak Kulit Batang Kalangkala (Litsea garciae V) sebagai Antioksidan Alami pada Sediaan Masker Gel Peel Off

Kalangkala (Litsea garcia V) is a typical South Kalimantan plant that contains flavonoids and antioxidant activity and is explored as a cosmetic peel-off mask that provides ease of use and effectiveness in delivery through the skin. The research determines the effect of variations in the concentration of Kalangkala bark extract on the peel-off gel mask’s physical properties and antioxidant activity. Extraction was carried out by maceration using 96% ethanol with a ratio of 1:2.5. The extract was incorporated into a peel-off gel mask preparation by varying concentrations respectively at F1 (0.004%), F2 (0.04%), and F3 (0.4%) and evaluated organoleptic, homogeneity, pH, spreadability, adhesion, dry time, viscosity, and the antioxidant activity using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) test. The results were statistically analyzed using one-way ANOVA and SPSS tools. It showed a significant influence between variations in the concentration of Kalangkala bark extract on the results of the pH, spreadability, stickiness, dry time, and viscosity test (p <0.05). It was also a significant influence (p <0.05) on the antioxidant activity of the three formulas with an IC50 value for F1 (112,209 ppm) in the moderate antioxidant activity, F2 (83,694 ppm) in the strong antioxidant activity, and F3 (40,628 ppm) in the powerful antioxidant
