Analysis of Energy Consumption of Road Cold Chain Transportation Under Different Refrigeration Modes

With the rapid growth of cold chain logistics demand, promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of road cold chain transport has received more and more attention. The calculation of transport energy consumption is still the key problem. Researchers have studied the calculation methods of cold chain transport energy consumption in different refrigeration modes. However, there is a lack of further analysis on the combination of vehicle energy supply mode and refrigeration mode. In this paper, we propose four combined modes of refrigeration and power energy technologies. In the given urban distribution scenario, the energy consumption of different modes is estimated and compared. Results show that for fuel refrigerated trucks, the passive storage mode can effectively reduce the transport energy consumption and reduce the energy consumption cost compared with mechanical refrigeration mode. While for electric refrigerated trucks, the difference in energy consumption is not obvious. It is necessary select the mode according to the specific application scenario. This study has important reference significance for putting forward technical solutions that can meet the needs of constant temperature freshness preservation and satisfy the requirements of green and low-carbon development in the industry.

Abstract

With the rapid growth of cold chain logistics demand, promoting the green and low-carbon transformation of road cold chain transport has received more and more attention. The calculation of transport energy consumption is still the key problem. Researchers have studied the calculation methods of cold chain transport energy consumption in different refrigeration modes. However, there is a lack of further analysis on the combination of vehicle energy supply mode and refrigeration mode. In this paper, we propose four combined modes of refrigeration and power energy technologies.
