Harmonic Current Control and Application Based on APF in a Certain Research Institute

With the development of science and technology, the requirements of scientific research laboratories for power quality are becoming more and more strict. In order to solve the problem of power harmonics in scientific research laboratories, this paper analyzes the harm of power grid harmonics and the commonly used treatment methods. Several monitoring points that may produce harmonics in the experimental building were investigated, and the main harmonic sources in the building were identified. Through the analysis of the measured data, the corresponding control methods are selected. The results show that the combination of active filter and reactive power compensation cabinet can obviously filter out the harmonic current in the power grid system. The filtering rate is more than 85%, and the energy saving benefit is considerable.
