Research on the Capacity Configuration Method of Micro-Pumped Storage Based on the Common Reservoir Operation Mode in Low-Pressure Area
To improve the energy interaction level between substations while reducing the construction cost of the micro-pumped storage system. This paper proposes a power and capacity configuration method for low-voltage substation pumped storage power systems under the common reservoir operation mode. The proposed method is based on the common reservoir operation mode, and opens up a waterway between substations to achieve energy transfer by connecting multiple reservoirs. Taking the control effect as a constraint, the power and capacity of the pumped storage system are reconfigured to achieve the purpose of maintaining the system control effect while saving construction costs. Simulation examples show that compared with the separate reservoir operation mode of the micro-pumped storage system, under the same performance, the common reservoir mode significantly reduces the reservoir capacity requirements by 39.23% through the common reservoir.
