Frequency Support Timing Sequence Coordination Optimization for Energy Storage Inverter Cluster
This paper proposes a frequency support (FS) strategy for energy storage (ES) inverter clusters that considers timing sequence collaborative optimization. Based on predicted grid frequency regulation instructions, different working modes of ES inverter clusters are optimized in advance through sequence optimization to reduce ES losses while ensuring FS capability. A FS optimization model for ES inverter clusters has been established, which utilizes power optimization to manage the charging and discharging energy of ES participating in frequency regulation to reduce power deviation during frequency regulation and achieve power balance, and further enhance the FS capability. Simulation studies have verified that the proposed strategy can improve the economic benefits of ES while ensuring FS capability.
