Abstract

This article aims to deepen a conceptual analysis of studies that highlight the areas of knowledge and their interpretations of spaces and their functionalities, broadening the view of the dynamics of territories, their formation and the characteristics that make up territories from the perspective of inclusion. In this sense, the following question was asked: what are the functionalities, dynamics and characteristics that make up the territory from the perspective of inclusion? In order to answer the proposed research problem, the following general objective was formulated: Bibliographical and conceptual analysis of the main authors in the areas of geography (territory) and inclusion and their interpretations in order to characterize the territory of inclusion, the discussions around the discipline (geography), have contributed in a propositional way, to relate elements of geography to inclusion. In this sense, the specific objectives were: a) to identify and discuss different types of territories; b) to understand the different interpretations of the concept of territories; c) to cover the concept of inclusion; d) to understand the concept of social inclusion and geographical space.
