Proveniencia sedimentaria de la formación Marcavilca en el Cerro Punta Apu, Comas, Lima – Perú mediante métodos petrográficos y geoquímicos

The sedimentary record of the Morro Solar Group is one of the most studied in Lima, because of its importance as part of the extensive siliciclastic platform of the Lower Cretaceous prior to the Andean orogeny, the understanding of this will allow knowing the sedimentological and geological model prior to the edification of the western Cordillera. The analysis was carried out along the Marcavilca Formation, in the outcrop of Cerro Punta Apu, extracting 10 geochemical samples and 6 petrographic samples, finding evidence that the sediments of the Marcavilca Formation are the product of the erosion of a recycled orogen, probably from the Marañon Metamorphic Complex with influence of the recycling of sediments from the Brazilian Craton.
