The Potential Revival of MSMEs and Boycotts in Fiqh Studies: Evidence of MSMEs and Local Products in Cirebon
The goal of this research is to examine prospective customers’ interest in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and local products in the context of Indonesia’s boycott of Israeli products. The dynamics of the boycott’s positives and negatives favor MSMEs’ and local products’ abilities to compete with foreign items. The development of MSMEs unconsciously helps the country’s GDP. This paper uses a combined approach, starting with a quantitative approach to obtain data: g-forms distributed randomly for 1 month, followed by qualitative analysis through a fiqh study approach. This research found that the boycott movement does provide opportunities for MSMEs to grow. The novelty of this research is in using the methodology and exploring i studies that lead to the benefit of morality direct implications for stakeholders and local MSME players. However, the research is limited to the Cirebon area and the topic can be studied in further research.
