Purpose: The purpose of the study was to explore the effects of self-verbal on the accuracy and performance of Pyonwon skills of Taekwondo Poomsae athletes. Methods: Subjects were 14 Taekwondo Poomsae athletes from the Department of Martial Arts, University of Taipei. Seven subjects from the experimental group received 30-min self-verbal training per week for six weeks, and all subjects were tested the ability of Pyonwon skills before, during and after the intervention. Results: Through six-week self-verbal training, both accuracy and performance of Pyonwon skills were significantly improved.
