Analysis of Wheel Wear and Dynamic Performance of CR200J EMU

This article utilizes the multi-body system dynamics software UM and focuses on CR200J as the subject to establish a vehicle dynamics model. The UM software is employed to simulate the wear of the established model. The wheel-rail contact relationship is matched with LM-type treads and standard 60 kg/m steel rails. By comparing and analyzing the variation patterns of tread profile, wear depth, and equivalent taper between standard and worn wheel treads under different operating mileages, an analysis was conducted on the critical speed, Sperling stability index, derailment coefficient, and wheel load reduction rate before and after wear. The analysis results indicate that an increase in wheel tread wear leads to a certain degree of decrease in vehicle stability, lateral stability, and operational safety performance.
