Ocena wykorzystania mieszaniny glifosatu i wybranego biostymulatora w ograniczaniu czeremchy amerykańskiej (Prunus serotina Ehrh.) w gospodarce leśnej

For many years, the State Forests have been trying to limit the mass occurrence of black cherry, which threatens the stability of forest ecosystems, using various available methods. The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential of using a biostimulator based on L-amino acids in combination with a glyphosate mixture to control black cherry (Prunus serotina Ehrh.). The research was conducted in the Oława Forest District. The chemical treatment – spraying a mixture of glyphosate with the Kaishi biostimulator on the non-native species – was carried out four times using a backpack sprayer during the full leaf-out phase of the black cherry. Various concentrations of the biostimulator were applied: 1, 2, and 3 l/ha, mixed with the herbicide at a constant concentration of 5 l/ha. The results suggest that the simultaneous use of the glyphosate and biostimulator mixture could be an effective method for reducing the population of black cherry (P. serotina).
