Integrating departmental systems of publication performance analysis with institutional information systems

The author examines the problems of informatization of academic organizations, with the focus on accumulation and efficient utilization of institutional information resources, in particular when designing software applications. The author shares the experience of the information system “Analysis of publication performance” designed to accumulate data on research output of the employees. The author emphasizes that in designing the system, the issues of using the institutional accumulated information resources (data integration) for developing specialized services of administrative services were addressed data coherency permitting.
