Improving the quality and efficiency of information services for remote users of Belarus Agricultural Library through the development and implementation of specialised software complexes

The authors discuss the characteristics of two software packages and their implementation into bibliographic services for remote users of Belarus Agricultural Library. The service consists of user and administrative blocks. The user block contains information and queries. The administrative block includes several main modules: user accounts, queries, monitoring and statistics. In January 2025, the module for “list generation” will be implemented into the user and administrative blocks. The specialized software packages enable employees servicing users to monitor the required information in some resources in a semi-automatic mode and transmit information to the end user, to receive requests for document delivery, deliver full texts of requested documents, to finalize bibliographic lists and to display graphically the characteristics of documents from already generated bibliographic lists. The implementation of this system will be the largest update to the remote user services of Belarus Agricultural Library over the past ten years.
