Analysis of HMEs detection of Terahertz nondestructive testing technology based on SWOT modeling

Abstract The importance of social security is increasing as the social situation around the world becomes tighter. The indiscriminate use of hazardous materials such as HMEs (homemade explosives) around the globe poses a threat to the public. The search for safe, quick, and appropriate detecting techniques cannot be delayed. Terahertz technology has the characteristics of strong penetration, can be used for non-destructive, non-ionizing, and high-sensitivity spectral measurement of explosives, suitable for the identification and detection of hazardous chemicals. This paper combines the characteristics of hazardous materials and the advantages of terahertz technology to study the analysis of HMEs detection technology based on terahertz nondestructive testing.
