Design and simulation of pressure testing probe for tulip contact in switchgear

Abstract Accurate assessment of the contact status of tulip contacts in switchgear through finger pressure detection technology is of significant importance. In this paper, through the combination of theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, a high-precision multi-point tulip contact pressing force testing probe is designed, and its mechanical expanding force and structural reliability are deeply studied. Firstly, based on the mechanical principle, a tulip contact pressing force testing probe with variable diameter measurement function is designed to avoid the insertion and insertion wear in the test process; Secondly, the mechanical model of the pressing force testing probe is constructed, and the mathematical relationship between the mechanical expanding force and the structural parameters of the testing probe is analyzed; Finally, through the finite element numerical simulation method, the stress condition of the compression force testing probe at the limit position is evaluated, and the mechanical reliability of the probe structure is analyzed. The research results show that the design method and analysis strategy proposed in this paper can effectively improve the accuracy and reliability of the tulip contact compression force test. The research results of this paper can provide a theoretical basis and practical guidance for the structural design of the tulip contact pressure testing probe of switchgear.
