Performance of bi-disperse porous catalyst with active component distribution for methane cracking process
Abstract The development of catalyst-reforming hydrogen production is essential in resource conservation and environmental protection. Catalyst deactivation is one of the bottlenecks limiting catalyst reforming. In this work, a particle-resolved simulation is conducted to analyze the bi-disperse catalyst behaviors for the methane cracking process, where the dynamic evolution of pores inside the catalyst is taken into consideration. The impact of active component distribution inside the catalyst on diffusion and reaction characteristics is analyzed. Spatiotemporal distribution of bi-disperse catalyst performance is obtained, providing guidance for the design of porous catalysts in reforming hydrogen production.
