Prediction of bubble movement trajectory and effect on electric field in immersion phase change cooling thyristor
Abstract Because of its superior heat transfer capabilities, immersion phase change cooling technology can significantly simplify and lower the cost of cooling high-power electronic devices. The bubbles generated during the phase change cooling process may lower the dielectric breakdown threshold and cause insulation problems. The insulation design of immersed phase change cooling thyristors will be theoretically supported in this study This article is divided into three parts, The first part provides an analysis method for bubble motion under the influence of electrophoretic force, and a simple calculation method for the magnitude and direction of electrophoretic force is provided. In the second part, charged particle tracking is carried out on the high field strength and bubble-prone growth points to make reasonable predictions of their motion trajectories. Bubble behavior analysis is applied to explain their motion trajectories, and proposed the mechanism of bubble aggregation. The third part compares the presence of bubbles at the same position, the number, size, shape, curvature, and spacing of bubbles to determine the factors of bubbles on electric field distortion. This article provides an analysis method for bubble behavior under the influence of dielectric electrophoresis force, analyzes the factors affecting the electric field strength of two-phase media, and has an important reference value for insulation design of immersed phase change cooling.
