Analysis of bubble motion characteristics in phase change media under extremely heterogeneous field
Abstract Phase change cooling technology has been more mature in the fields of hydrogenators, high-power rectifiers, low-pressure supercomputing centers, and so on. In this paper, a standard pin-plate electrode is used to simulate the non-uniform electric field of high-voltage and high-power power electronic devices and a chip resistance heating is used to simulate the two-phase flow in real conditions. Using a high-speed camera and bubble tracking algorithm, the trajectory of the bubble is tracked. With the help of finite element analysis software, the bubble movement of two-phase flow and its influence on insulation were simulated through the bubble dynamics analysis. The conclusion of this paper lays a foundation for the insulation design and control of high-voltage and high-power power electronic devices using phase change cooling technology and has important academic and practical value for improving the reliability of devices.
