Assessment of CO2 Emissions in Offshore Support Vessels Using Machine Learning

Growing pressures, from international entities, regarding the emissions of GHG (Greenhouse Gases) demands a response in planning and goals for a reduction of harmful gases, IMO(International Maritime Organization) and MEPC(Marine Environment Protection Committee) have shown a leading role on the proposal and development of monitoring indexes of ships and their emissions, being the main ones discussed in this study Proxy A, GFI(GHG Fuel Intensity) and OEI(Operational Efficiency Indicator). In this research it is shown a positive response for the application of machine learning models for the analysis of energy efficiency and emissions indexes on Platform Supply Vessels and discussed ideas of future incrementations to the given analysis.
