Optimization and efficiency improvement of hybrid floating photovoltaic and thermoelectric generation system including power converter and IoT load control system

As acceptance of solar power rises globally, issues including efficiency and restricted land availability create more need fo r creative floating solar solutions. Furthermore, the performance of the solar panel reduces with increasing panel temperature. As the temperature rise, the PV module's output power drops 0.5% per oC and cooling the module will enhance its performance. This work presents a method based on solar photovoltaic installation on water surfaces hybrid with thermoelectric panels. The cold side of thermoelectric panels is in contact with water, while the hot side is exposed to inte nse sunlight the works as generator due to its unique properties. Moreover, maximum PV system efficiency depends on constant monitoring of the Maximum power point (MPP). In this work the PV system will be driven to maximize electricity from solar arrays in unfavourable conditions using the maximum power point tracking algorithm (MPPTs). By 2% to 3.6% respectively, the usage of thermoelectric devices based on silicon material yields rising efficiency of PV system. Simultaneously, water floating of a solar system raised the output power up to 2% of the installed PV system and an IoT based load produced load management has also been applied in this study to properly regulate electric loads.
