The lived experience of time: Insights from Indian and Irish adoptive parents
The transition to parenthood is a defining period in the family life cycle, often shaped deeply by one’s personal and social expectations regarding time. For many couples, the anticipated timeline for having children may be disrupted by infertility, leading them to explore alternative route such as adoption. Our forthcoming book chapter titled, ‘The Lived Experience of Time: Insights from Indian and Irish Adoptive Parents’ delves into the subjective experience of parents from both countries as they navigate the phases of adoption and how this temporal dimension defines their psychological and social experiences.
