Aging Reinforced Thermoset Resin Pipes (RTR) Integrity Assessment Case Study
Abstract Reinforced thermoset resin pipes has been in service as a corrosion solution for more than 50 years; however, the methods to check the remaining lifetime of RTR pipes is not yet standardized anywhere, this paper will discuss some method statements, outline some practical experience and testing conducted in order to outline the methods followed by major oil producer in order to extend the life of RTR pipes. This includes, joint integrity assessment, pipes integrity assessment, regression analysis, and a network health check. This method was tested in order to confirms the integrity of aged RTR assets considering the pipe analysis and a universal analysis to the installed system
