Design and Planning of 5G Radio Links over on Hillah City

As wireless services become more prevalent, it is anticipated that 5G will address the issues related to data transfer speed that were present in earlier generations. In this particular situation, it is crucial to carefully construct a stable 5G wireless access connection over a varied landscape in a suburban setting, such as the city of Hilla mentioned in this study. Over the terrain, line-of-sight propagation was accomplished with success. However, because to path-loss limitations, vegetation, and rain loss, the signal intensity has dropped below the receiver sensitivity of −84 dBm. Therefore, even with the employment of high-gain antennas and beam-forming methods, the 28 GHz carrier frequency microwave connection is inappropriate. Since it has demonstrated better performance, the 3.5 GHz frequency is advised for establishing efficient communication over many kilometers of distance. The base station’s location and the transmitting antenna’s elevation were tuned to create strong connections in Hillah. The antenna height was 10 meters to provide line of sight across the five sites, resulting in signal strengths of −69.5039 dBm, −55.1312 dBm, −66.0844 dBm, −66.0968 dBm, −50.9748 dBm for Hillah City Center, Hillah Football Stadium, Hillah Textile Factory, Officers Park, and Recreation Farm, respectively. For the 28 GHz link connection, the path loss due to foliage was 22.7422 dBm, resulting in signal strengths of −98.5737 dBm, −86.2864 dBm, −95.568 dBm, −99.5514 dBm, −79.859 dBm for Hilla City Center, Hilla Football Stadium, Hilla Textile Factory, Officers Park, and Recreation Farm, respectively.
