A 19-Level Asymmetric Inverter with Fewer Switches to Lower Harmonic Distortion in Renewable Sources

As inverters were extended to numerous layers to reduce distortion from the fundamental sinusoidal waveform, the concept of a multilayer inverter was born. Employing multiple-level inverters has the disadvantage of necessitating the installation of more switches, increasing system bulk and expense and decreasing system dependability because of the increased component count. The system is larger, more costly, less dependable, and has less distortion when compared to a symmetrical H-bridged nineteen-level inverter. This research addresses this problem by presenting a nineteen-level inverter (19-LI) with fewer switches in renewable sorces. The MATLAB platform is used to construct the concept, and analysis is done to ascertain how effective the end product is.
