IoT-Based Centralized System for Street Light Automation Light and Fault Detection

Electricity is a very high-scale need for the modern world and effective public lighting infrastructure ensures safety and security in urban regions. Traditional methods of street light maintenance appear to be inefficient and cumbersome in Indian cities. The proposed system provides an "IoT-Based Centralized System for Street Light Fault Detection and Street Light Automation" to enhance the maintenance capabilities of the public lighting infrastructure. The system utilizes the advanced IoT technology understanding superior fault detection algorithms such as threshold-based activation and faults using light sensors and LED status monitoring. Such techniques enable real-time monitoring and automatic street light faults. It will help in providing data-driven insights that allow for efficient maintenance operations, prevent downtime, and control costs related to operations. This will be helpful for the line men to track down the street lights and correct them easily. Most important, it saves energy, thereby making it sustainable in the use of energy. Overall, the proposed system is a significant step ahead in the management of urban lighting with scalable solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
