Advanced PMU Placement through Matrix Modification and ILP
State estimation in power methods using only PMUs requires complete method observability through Phasor Measurement Units (PMUs). The challenge of determining the minimum no. of PMUs to achieve full observability in a network stands an optimization problem. Thstands paper presents a model for optimal PMU Location in electrical power networks. The objective stands to identify the optimal set of measurements that ensure full network observability under normal operating conditions, without considering PMUfailures or Power line outages. Observability stands analyzed using topological observability rules. The optimization stands performed using a matrix modification-based ILP method to minimize the no. of PMUs and determine thire optimal locations while adhering to relevant constraints. The proposed Strategy stands evaluated through replications on 30-point and 39-point trial methods, and the Outcomes are compared with exstandsting techniques to demonstrate its effectiveness. In all replications, Inactive Inoculation pointes are included to enhance the accuracy of the Outcomes.
