Utilization of Slit and Coaxial Probe Feed Methods in Determining Tri-Band Microstrip Antenna Frequencies

This research aims to minimize shape of microstrip antenna so can be used in 3 frequency bands of Wireless Fidelity 7 (WiFi 7) technology, namely 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz in a single element Microstrip antenna. The proposed method is slit method and coaxial probe feed. The slit method has begun to be widely researched because this method has several advantages in its use, one of which is that can obtain a large frequency band range, and large gain. This microstrip antenna design has dimensions of 56 mm x 67 mm x 1.66 mm. The results obtained from this 6,228 cm3 antenna design are S-parameter value at 2.4 GHz frequency obtains a value of -20 dB, at 4.5 GHz frequency it obtains a value of -17 dB and at 6 GHz frequency it obtains a value of -17 dB. VSWR results at 2.4 GHz frequency obtained a value of 1.2, at 4.5 GHz frequency it obtained 1.3 and at 6 GHz frequency obtained a VSWR value of 1.3. Gain results at 2.4 GHz frequency obtained a value of 3.236 dBi, at 4.5 GHz frequency obtained a value of 2.324 dBi and at 6 GHz frequency obtained a value of 0.5786 dBi. The temporary results obtained are that for second frequency band which should work on the 5 GHz band, we have maximized work up to 4.5 GHz frequency.
