Improvement of LR-FHSS LPWAN Satellite Communication for IoMT

LoRaWAN telecommunication improvements continue to be developed to avoid data collisions, data errors, attenuation, and signal interferences. One solution is to use LPWAN with satellite communication. This research seeks to make improvements from the LPWAN side as a data transmission medium as well as an end-node in the satellite-based communication process in LEO orbit (Low Earth Orbit). An analysis is needed to be able to see the success probability of LPWAN communication systems at long distances such as satellite-based IoT communication with a distance of 2000 km. This is one of the complex analyses in Internet of Things-based systems which have many and complicated connectivity. In addition, parameters such as Time On Air (ToA) should also be taken into account to see if the latency is normal or if there are delays, packet errors, or packet losses that can occur, which include losses in the IoT telecommunications system. This research focuses on discussing and analyzing the Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN). In particular, for a health monitoring system in remote areas that do not have internet access, this application can be applied. From simulation, a success probability value of 90% with a payload of 2 bytes of BPM value, and 50e3, decreased to 65% and even 60% when the payload and number of nodes were increased by 4 bytes and 100e3, and the use of Headers and WH has an impact on CRC_ToA.
