Stabilization domain study of islanded photovoltaic via MMC-HVDC transmission system
Abstract The large-scale integration of renewable energy can promote cleaner and lower-carbon energy utilization; however, it adversely affects the safe and stable operation of the power system. To address this issue, this paper first establishes a mathematical model and state-space model for islanded photovoltaics via the MMC-HVDC transmission system. Subsequently, it integrates considerations of steady-state electrical parameters and small-signal stability to propose a method for calculating the system’s stability domain. Based on this, the study investigates the stability domain of islanded photovoltaic via MMC-HVDC transmission system and analyzes the impact of photovoltaic transmission line length and control parameters on system stability.
