Reactive current coefficient setting method of LVRH considering the contribution of distributed photovoltaic reactive power support
Abstract With the increasing prevalence of distributed photovoltaic access to distribution networks, there may be insufficient reactive power support during near-field faults, which further worsens the power outage area. Considering the control strategies of distributed photovoltaics at different access locations, this paper proposes a low-voltage ride through reactive power control coefficient optimization method to improve the transient voltage support capability of the distribution network, with the contribution of distributed photovoltaic reactive power support. Firstly, the reactive power support contribution of the collection point is proposed for the distributed photovoltaic power plants. Then the low-voltage ride through reactive current setting coefficient is calculated for distributed photovoltaic power plants, based on the comprehensive contribution of transient reactive power support requirements. Finally, the reliability of the coefficient setting method in the paper is verified through a detailed model example of a typical distribution network.
