Features of the Sochi Black Sea Region rivers

The article presents the results of river grouping on the Black Sea coast of Sochi, which is based on morphometric characteristics and the type of natural resources exploitation within the catchment area. Namely, the rivers of the region are considered, defined as medium in terms of their hydrological characteristics, which are of high priority for the water supply and the tourism industry within the studied area. The scientific innovation of this research lies in the application in conjunction of both biological methods for the hydrobionts condition assessments and the analysis of geological factors, affecting the condition of rivers.
