Formation of spatial thinking skills in students through the integration of 3D modeling in a computer science course
The research topic discussed in this article, namely the use of 3D modeling in the process of teaching informatics, is a relevant and multifaceted issue. This is due to the fact that the theoretical aspects of 3D modeling have a positive impact both on the learning process in informatics and on the overall development of students. 3D modeling is a powerful and complex tool that contributes to the development of students' spatial thinking and the visualization of educational material. It not only improves the understanding and assimilation of complex concepts in the educational process but also increases interest in the subject being studied. Modern programmed learning methods do not fully contribute to the development of students' creative thinking, as they leave no room for emotions, assumptions, and non-standard problem-solving approaches. That is why we propose using 3D modeling tools to help students develop their understanding of "space." This article examines the tools for forming the concept of space and describes the features of applying 3D modeling technologies in the educational process. Additionally, it highlights the advantages of using the 3D Max software for the practical development of students' spatial thinking, discusses challenges in this field, and explores its development trends.
