Fiqih Ibadah dan Lingkungan: Kajian Literatur tentang Wudhu dan Penghematan Air dalam Perspektif Islam

This study aims to explore the relationship between the fiqh of worship, especially ablution, and water conservation from an Islamic perspective. The research method used is library research, with the research subjects being classical and contemporary fiqh documents, as well as academic articles discussing ablution and water conservation. The object of the study is the concept of fiqh of worship related to ablution and the application of ecological values in religious practices. Data collection techniques were carried out through literature studies of relevant books, scientific journals, articles, and reports. The data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively by comparing various views on water conservation in the fiqh of worship and its implications for religious practices. The results of the study show that Islam teaches water conservation in ablution, as emphasized in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and the verses of the Qur'an. However, there is still a gap between this teaching and practice in society, which is often wasteful in the use of water during ablution. This study emphasizes the importance of increasing ecological awareness among Muslims and encouraging the application of environmentally friendly technology in mosques. Thus, water conservation can be an integral part of worship, in line with the principle of sustainability in Islam.
