Increasing of energy nutrition of young mink when using dry palm fat
The article presents the results on estimated use of dry palm fat “Megalak” in the diets of slaughtered young heads standard short-haired black mink during the winter hair cover formation to ensure the completeness of energy of nutrition and a balanced ratio of fatty acids in the diet. The control group (28 males) of minks received a general farm ration without additive. Palm fat “Megalak” was added to the feed mixture for young animals of the experimental group (28 males) of minks: in September in an amount of up to 1.5 g per 100 g of feed mixture per day and in October-November – up to 2.1 g respectively, which ensured the production of good-quality pelts. The composition of the diet with the introduction of dry palm fat “Megalak” is optimally balanced in terms of the ratio of fatty acids for slaughtered young minks, which ensures the implementation of productive indicators. It was found that the value of the average frequency of occurrence in the blood of males at the age of 7 months of erythrocytes containing micronuclei was 2 times higher than in the control group (p<0.05) and is connected with changes of diet composition. The proportion of pelts with sizes 0-20, 30 and > in the experimental group was 8.6% higher, the defect-free pelts proportion increased by 18.5%, the score for the quality of pelts was higher by 2.6% compared to the control group. The economic efficiency of using palm oil in the young mink diets during the formation of winter hair cover amounted to 56.0 rubles per pelt (in 2022 prices) at the drug cost 37.73 rubles.
