Research Progress of Antibody-Drug Conjugates in Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian cancer has a high mortality rate and is a serious threat to women’s health. Most patients with advanced ovarian cancer inevitably enter the platinum-resistant stage. Due to the poor response of platinum-resistant patients to various chemotherapies and poor prognosis, the treatment of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer faces huge challenges. Antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) are a class of drugs composed of monoclonal antibodies targeting specific antigens and small molecule cytotoxic drugs linked by a linker. They have been successfully applied in hematological malignancies and solid tumors such as breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. With the FDA’s accelerated approval of Mirvetuximab Soravtansine for the treatment of platinum-resistant recurrent ovarian cancer, ADCs have also received more research and application in the treatment of ovarian cancer. This article elaborates on the main clinical research progress of ADCs in ovarian cancer.
