Modification of The Morphology of Zinc Doped Fe 3 O 4 Mesocrystalline Spheres and Their Application for Removal of Antibiotic Pollutants
Abstract Crystallographic, morphology modification during the synthesis of mesocrystal sphere Zinc doped Fe 3 O 4 have been researched. The as‐prepared Zinc doped Fe 3 O 4 are uniform mesocrystalline hollow sphere with high porosity that are composed of aggregation crystalline nanoparticles into an ordered arrangement structure. It is found out that amount of NH 4 Ac, reaction temperature is critical to the formation of Zn doped Fe 3 O 4 hollow sphere structures. The simultaneous cooperation of Ostwald ripening and oriented attachment played an important role in porous hollow sphere Zinc doped Fe 3 O 4 preparation. The application of the porous Zinc doped Fe 3 O 4 hollow sphere as catalysts for the heterogeneous photo‐Fenton degradation of metronidazole illuminated by visible light was systematically studied. The affecting factors as the initial dosega of H 2 O 2 , catalyst, initial pH of solution were sequentially investigated. The experimental results showed the high photocatalytic capacity of the as‐obtained hollow sphere mesocrystals.
