E-GAUC:Extending WSN Lifetime via Genetic Algorithm-Based Unequal Clustering for Open-Cast Mining Applications
Open cast mining is one of the most dangerous human-involved activities, and mining is also essential to boost the economy of any country. Therefore, this paper proposed a wireless sensors network(WSN) unequal clustering technique in opencast mining application. This technique extends the network's lifespan so that mining activities are easily monitored. In this technique, cluster heads are chosen based on fitness function. This function uses Total Energy consumption, Total number of cluster heads (CH), Cluster Head distribution, and fitness function to increase the network lifespan by adjusting all parameters. The simulation shows that the proposed work is performed more than existing algorithms.
